Interactive art project "From Tibet to Europe. The journey full of deep meaning", is dedicated to the transition of philosophy, cultural and humanistic values of Buddhism from Tibet to the West. Having appeared in ancient India the methods to improve one’s life and to achieve timeless happiness are not just transferred from one country to another obtaining new outer shape, but are also changing. At the turn of I and II millennia the methods came from India to China, Tibet, Bhutan, Southeast Asia and Japan, in the XVII century with the Kalmyks and Buryats they appeared in Russia. Today's journey is from Tibet to Europe. Art project "From Tibet to Europe. The journey full of deep meaning” is dedicated to the transition of philosophy, cultural and humanistic values of Buddhism from Tibet to the West. What is the view of the teachings on the world and how it fits into modern society? What is the difference between Tibetan monks and the Europeans, and do they really have different aspirations? We tried to find answers to these questions with the help of the methods of art photography. The exhibition presents works of European and Russian photographers - the travelers, pilgrims, practitioners. It shows unique pieces of Tibetan culture preserved in the East and its development in the West. In addition, the program includes master classes, films and lectures.
